The ruthless army of the asteroidians (or asteroidian, if you like) attacks the Earth and destroys the peaceful colony of dinosaurs. Millions of creatures die, which leads to an almost complete disappearance of their type. And only the mechano -zaurus can correct the situation, sitting in the time machine, saddling the moon and flying on it around the native planet, taking on all enemy blows.

All this plot is told in three frames of the comic book, demonstrated during the starting load. After it, the user finds himself on the menu, presses “play” and immediately begins to save the earth. There is no choice of mode here, as well as any settings, so there is no need to hope for a large volume of content.

The mechanical dinosaur sitting on the moon can do only one thing: cut circles near the planet, and it is capable of performing this action only in one direction. Asteroids fly to the ground, and as soon as three of them hit the target, the game will be over. To avoid this, you must constantly spin and distract the attention of cosmic garbage over yourself. Nobody asks to be as accurately as possible between the “enemy” and the protected object – it is often just to be nearby, in which case the asteroid will be automatically visited by the main character.

Heavenly bodies acting in the role of enemies are of various kinds. Small – very fast, although they freeze before the collision, which allows them to successfully confront them. There are more asteroids – quite slow, but they are also entered into a dinosaur worse. There are also “opponents” who bounce off the character several times before being destroyed, and to cope with such much more difficult.

Passage Mechanosaur divided into various eras, each of which can be passed in almost a minute. During each era you can find one, maximum two types of asteroids, so you can adapt quite quickly. Although it is complicated by an element of chance – you never know which type it comes now. In addition, new species are constantly unlocked, immediately added to the overall list. They open regardless of the success of the user – even if he did not beat the previous record and generally performed poorly, the list of possible asteroids will be replenished.

Therefore, each time the game offers different trials, in connection with which the first level can easily be more difficult than the second. For each exploded asteroid, glasses are charged here, additional can be earned for the rapid destruction of two celestial bodies in a row or for distracting their attention to themselves in the very last second. We do not advise such bonuses specially – we are more expensive for ourselves. But by chance they will receive a player on an ongoing basis.

Unfortunately, Mechanosaur does not reward the user for his successes. You can finish one after another era, earn hundreds of points, but the result will eventually be the same. There is no virtual currency for which you can buy pleasant trinkets. The dinosaur always remains the way that appears at the beginning of the game, the moon will not change either, as well as everything else. In this case, the gameplay should be very fascinating – otherwise why do you even download the game?

But in reality, the gameplay is bored after half an hour. Since the dinosaur knows how to spin only in one direction, you will have to wrap circles constantly. And due to the large number of asteroids, often flying at the same time in pairs from different ends of the galaxy, you have to skip some of them. And as soon as the Earth loses one of its lives, it will not be possible to return it anymore. On the one hand, it is realistic, but on the other, it is unfair and boring.

Mechanosaur – A difficult game, but not in the good sense of the word. Either the developers did not have enough experience, or time, but the lack of sufficient elaboration of many elements makes the game unworthy of attention. Yes, it is free, there is no microtransactions in it, but it does not become interesting from it. If you want to spend an extra half hour, there are much more worthy projects on mobile platforms.
